Happiness is to be able to see what you have

What is happiness? Happiness is not how much you get, but the gap between what you get and what you expect.

In fact, happiness is a kind of feeling, the "sense of gain" we often refer to. It has nothing to do with how much you get (money, status, honor, emotion), it has nothing to do with how satisfied you are when you get these things. If your expectations are low and what you actually get exceeds your expectations, happiness will rise in your heart.

How can we get happiness? The easiest way is to lower expectations, as the saying goes is contentment. Greedy people, people who are not satisfied, will never be happy, because one goal is achieved, and the next bigger goal is waiting ahead...Desire is a little beast that will grow up. If you keep feeding it, it will Keep growing until it grows into a behemoth, devouring all your time and energy, and bursting your entire life.

This little beast of desire has an elegant name called "success" in the secular society. In the pursuit of higher goals and a better life, many people have exhausted all of their lives. People who can control their greed do not have no desires, but can see their desires all the time, see their irrational swelling, and see it swallowing up many beautiful things in life... Seeing is the beginning of control . Just as you look down and see your fat belly, you will naturally have the motivation to control your diet and lose weight. Seeing the rationality of desire will make you often remind yourself of contentment.

Secondly, creating good interpersonal relationships is also the secret to living a happy life. Most people live in relationships. Good interpersonal relationships are mutually beneficial and nourish each other; bad interpersonal relationships are mutually harmful and consume each other. If happiness is like the smell in the air, then interpersonal relationships are the "air" you breathe all the time.

A follow-up study conducted by Harvard University in the United States for 80 years shows that the factor that has the greatest influence on a person's happiness index is the degree of intimacy between a person and his family and friends. Because "those who are more satisfied with their interpersonal relationships, and those who know that they can get physical and mental support from people around them when they need them and feel safer, their bodies and minds are healthier in their later years", and physical and mental health is The basic prerequisite for happiness.

There is also a path leading to happiness, called "independent personality". Some people's happiness comes from the external environment, such as material abundance and warmth in interpersonal relationships, and some come from the richness and beauty of their inner world.

Many people will unknowingly be trapped in the cobwebs of the times, and be beaten by the torrent of various anxiety. A person who can be happy in a group, for him, group identity is like water, he is a fish, and a fish cannot do without water. Therefore, loneliness is not recognized, for some people, it means pain.

An independent person is like a tree growing to the clouds, calmly dealing with himself, and he himself is the source of happiness. When they are young, most people will tirelessly search for their significant other in this lively world. After maturity, some people will find that in fact, everyone is complete, and there is no so-called "other half" at all. The so-called "other half" is needed.

If you have the ability to enjoy loneliness, then stand alone as a landscape, and happiness sits in your heart. The road to heaven is very narrow, and those who walk on the road to heaven are independent people with their own light.

In any case, to gain happiness, the most important thing is to see what you have. Most people are always envious and looking forward to what they don't get, instead of cherishing all the good things they have. Just like a little girl, she always complains that she lacks a pair of beautiful shoes, but she doesn't know that there are some people in this world who don't even have a pair of complete feet for various reasons.

Many times, we pursue happiness, just like a cat walking around in a circle looking for its tail. More often, when it comes to happiness, our hearts are like the universe, and we have everything but we call it "space". If happiness has always been the prosperity in the windows of other people's homes, then you will never get it.

Only when you can see what you have can you feel happiness. How can I see my own possession? It's very simple. In ordinary life, it is not comparable. For example, if you look at someone who has no feet, you will know how happy it is to have a pair of feet that can walk freely.

Zeigarnik effect

As a freelancer, you have to fight procrastination every day. "I've made up my mind many times, but I just can't change it. Is it because I'm slow or slow?". In fact, many procrastinations are irrational. Many obstructions are imagined by myself. So distract, postpone, avoid confrontation. It's cool to procrastinate, and it's cool to procrastinate all the time, so I can't do it. Concentration is also related to physical strength. When the physical strength is exhausted, it is even more difficult to concentrate. You’ll tell yourself: I’m too tired to do this—okay, another perfect procrastination. In 1927, Bruma Zeigarnik's senior research found that people are more likely to care about unfinished and interrupted work than completed work. This is the Zeigarnik effect. For example, we often don't care much about what we have got, but we will especially cherish what we have worked hard but haven't got. Therefore, the TV series will tell you...

Moroccan football team: "The most familiar stranger"

When I was still in college ten years ago, I led a sightseeing group of more than 30 Moroccan students. Before meeting them, my general impression of the Moroccans was that they are from North Africa but closer to the Arab world. They have religious beliefs, are used to worship, and are inextricably linked with France. When I saw the real person, I realized that the North Africans in front of me were actually a group of children playing with each other and having fun in time. They were about the same age as me at the time. I have all kinds of nicknames and nicknames. During the process of taking them to Badaling, the Summer Palace and Houhai, two classmates and I, together with more than 30 Moroccan students, realized "cultural integration" and "world unity" in the small group to some extent. During the World Cup in Qatar, I was surprised to find that the little-known Morocco team, which was eliminated in the group stage of the last World Cup, after miraculou...

How Gates and Jobs compete

Competition is the norm in the business world. Many people even use war as a metaphor for business competition. As master leaders, Apple founder Steve Jobs and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, how do they handle business? What about competition issues? Let's take a look at the four strategies summarized by the author in the book "Strategic Thinking". The first strategy is the "puppy tactic". The term “puppy tactics” comes from Jean Tirole, the 2014 Nobel Prize winner in economics, and Zhu Fudenberg, a master of economics. It means to make yourself as harmless as possible, to keep competitors completely unaware of your intentions, and even to make the market unclear about your true intentions through camouflage and misleading. Being undervalued by the market and competitors will give you an edge when entering a new field. Jobs was a tough entrepreneur. However, he is also a master at employing puppy tactics. For example, Jobs adopted this strategy when he w...
